HoD - Arabic & Islamic Studies
Ms. Iqbal Abdulghani is the Head of Arabic and Islamic Studies at Liwa International School. She holds a Bachelor degree in Islamic Studies as well as a Diploma. She was first appointed at LIS in September 2002 as teacher.
Throughout the years, Ms. Iqbal attended several leadership and development workshops such as Assessment for Learning (AFL), SEN, Kagan, Differentiation, Class Management, SCF, and others that further developed her skills and enabled her to become the Head of the MOE Subjects. In addition to the daily tasks she carries out as Head of Department, Ms. Iqbal organizes orientation sessions for new staff to reinforce the standards of LIS and guide the new teachers to become professionals in the educational field.
Having a well-trained department helps in providing our students not only with the knowledge they need, but also with the morals and identity that will ultimately guide them when they graduate from LIS. Finally, as indicated through LIS motto, it is our responsibility as the LIS family to make sure that we are “Together for a Better Future for Our Children.”
