At Liwa International School – Falaj Hazza, we are committed to preparing students for the future by developing their knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
Our STEM, AI & Robotics Program provides students with meaningful opportunities to engage in hands-on learning experiences that promote innovation, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. Through a wide range of projects and activities, students are introduced to coding, robotics, artificial intelligence, engineering, and digital technologies in ways that are both practical and engaging.
These experiences enable students to apply their learning to real-world contexts while building confidence, resilience, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Through guided instruction and project-based learning, students are encouraged to explore emerging technologies, strengthen their computational thinking skills, and develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
Students develop coding, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills through structured learning experiences and practical projects. Using platforms and languages such as Python, CodeHS, Scratch, and block-based programming tools, students strengthen their logical reasoning, creativity, digital fluency, and confidence in developing digital solutions.
Students explore robotics and engineering concepts through hands-on learning experiences using tools such as LEGO Education SPIKE Prime, Arduino, and robotics kits. They design, build, test, and program robotic solutions while developing teamwork, engineering knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Students are introduced to the responsible and purposeful use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) through tools such as ChatGPT, NotebookLM, and AI-supported learning platforms. They explore how AI can support research, creativity, problem-solving, and learning while developing an understanding of the responsible and ethical use of emerging technologies.
Students use platforms such as Tinkercad and Canva to develop skills in 3D modelling, digital design, graphics, and creative problem-solving. These projects enable students to transform their ideas into visual and digital creations while developing their creativity and confidence.
Students participate in project-based activities that encourage them to identify real-world problems, generate ideas, develop prototypes, test solutions, and refine their designs. Design Thinking is embedded across STEM activities to promote creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and innovation.
Students have opportunities to apply their skills beyond the classroom through participation in coding, robotics, AI, and STEM competitions and enrichment activities. These experiences encourage teamwork, perseverance, innovation, creativity, and excellence while allowing students to showcase their knowledge and skills.
Our students have demonstrated outstanding success in STEM, AI, and Robotics through their active participation in national and international competitions.
In the UAE FIRST LEGO League, our students proudly received the Coding Award in recognition of their excellent programming skills, creativity, and teamwork.
Our students participated in the AI and Robotics Competition by Edustream, achieving remarkable success by winning three awards.
Our students also achieved success in the iOS Apple Design Award Competition, organized by Sandooq Al Watan.
Our school celebrates UAE Coding Day every year, providing students with opportunities to participate in engaging coding activities that promote creativity, digital skills, and a passion for innovation.
At Liwa International School – Falaj Hazza, our STEM, AI & Robotics Program continues to empower students to become confident, creative, and future-ready learners who are prepared to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
