Ms. Amal Mahmoud Al Shariti has been a member of the Liwa family for nearly 8 years. Before that, she has taught in Al Ain private schools for 13 years. Ms. Amal joined Liwa International School in 2010 and has taught English and English social studies. Besides, she had been the English Department coordinator for more than 4 years. She is now the Head of English and English Social Studies Departments. Apart from teaching the international American Curriculum, Ms. Amal was in charge of implementing a rigid reading scheme that can enhance students’ reading skills.
Before joining LIS, Ms. Amal graduated with honors from the Syrian University from which she received her Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature (Translation). She also has her Diploma in teaching English as a second language. Recently, she earned her Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership from Northumbria University, UK.
Currently Ms. Amal is working to earn her Master’s degree in Administration from Northampton University, UK. Her Master’s research focal point will be about innovation as she is always eager to implement innovative ideas in teaching and learning. Her passion for teaching and learning was cultivated by the belief that education is a continuous process that requires self-development and creativeness.
